Recital in Batavia

Mallory Harding, Soprano; Marjorie Rose Klespitz, Mezzo Soprano; accompanied by Pianist Chiayi Lee will perform at the Batavia Public Library on Tuesday, January 3rd at 7 PM. The recital is free, but a $10 donation would be greatly appreciated.

Batavia "Energy" Exhibition Seeking Artists

An exciting collaboration between Batavia's Allen+Pepa Gallery, Fermilab, and Water Street Studios will result in the "Energy" exhibition. Each of the three galleries will focus on one of the three types of energy: potential (Fermilab), mechanical (Allen+Pepa), and kinetic (Water Street Studios). The exhibition is seeking artists and the deadline for submission is January 27. For more details and submission guidelines, visit the Fermilab website.

Batavia High School Alumni Musicians

The Batavia Arts Council is looking into putting together an alumni concert at the new Arts Centre.  Are you a talented alum of BHS?  Let us know!

Fox Valley Orchestra will present "A Baroque Christmas" at Crimi Auditorium, Aurora University

On Sunday, December 18th at 3:00 pm, the Fox Valley Orchestra will present "A Baroque Christmas" at Crimi Auditorium, Aurora University, Aurora, IL. The concert includes Telemann's "Viola concerto in G major" and Vivaldi's "Gloria in D major." Tickets are $12 at the door, $10 in advance.  The mezzo-soprano soloist is Victoria L. Linich, a member of the Batavia Arts Council.

Lessons and Carols Concert - December 11th!

On Sunday, December 11th, the Chancel Choir of the Congregational Church of Batavia, 21 S. Batavia Ave., will join with the Bethlehem Brass to present a concert of Lessons and Carols during the church's 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. services. The program will be based upon the Festival of Lessons and Carols which takes place each year at King's College, Cambridge, England.  The program is free and open to the public.
