Modern Dance Comes to Water Street Studios

Water Street Studios welcomes the modern dance group, Core Project Chicago, performing in our large temporary gallery space.

Leading up to the performance by Core Project, they will host 2 workshops. The first will be middle and high school students on Wed, May 2, 3:30p - 5:30p.

The second will be for elementary school students on Thur, May 3, 4:30p - 6:00p.

Both workshops will culminate into a piece that will be performed by the students on May 4.

Both the workshops and performance are FREE to all.

Auditions for Shakespeare on Clark's 14th production is THE TAMING OF THE SHREW

All actors will receive a stipend for their work!

Auditions will he held on
Saturday, May 19th 2:00 - 5:00
and
Sunday May 20th 2:00 - 5:00

Anyone unable attend this audition may schedule a private audition by contacting the director at (630)879-5130. For college students who are unable to be in the area prior to then end of the school year, skype auditions can be arranged.

Actors are encouraged to bring head shots and resumes. Prepared comedic monologue of under 3 minutes will be appropriate, but is not necessary. The majority of the audition will consist of cold readings from the script. These are open auditions, and no appointment is necessary. Call backs will be held the following weekend if necessary.

The auditions will be held at All Dressed Up Costumes within the Jesters Courtyard. All Dressed Up is located in the Campana Building on the NW corner of Rt 31 and Fabyan Parkway. The address for GPS purposes is 901 N. Batavia Ave in Batavia, IL. (630-879-5230).

The edited 90 minute performance script and audition sides will be posted on the web site May 1st: www.jesterscourtyard.com.

When is this show?

We will be performing Fridays through Sundays, beginning July 2th through August 12. This season we are doing one additional performance in Lilac Park in Lombard...putting the "Bard" back in LomBard!!! Show times are 7:00 pm except for Sundays which has a 6 pm start.

Rehearsals will be schedule around availability of those cast in the show. Which can mean evenings and/or days....whatever works for the group.
