Art In Your Eye Seeks New Committee Members

Note: The 2013 festival will be held on September 21-22, 2013.

Batavia’s Art in Your Eye Fine Art Festival has selected September 21-22, 2013 as the dates for the ninth annual festival, moving the event into the early fall.  The planning committee is in the process of reorganizing to begin planning for 2013 and is seeking new committee members to join the team.  The committee is especially seeking help in the areas of fundraising and marketing. If you would like to help with the planning and implementation of this festival, please attend a 10:00 AM morning coffee on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012 at Water Street Studios, 160 N. Water Street in Batavia, IL 60510. The purpose of the meeting will be to organize the Fundraising and Marketing committees to begin work for the 2013 festival.

The Art in Your Eye Fine Art Festival was started in 2005 as a way to nurture an appreciation of skill in the arts, to add to the development and support of local artists and to support Batavia’s growing reputation as an arts town, which is spurring economic growth in Batavia’s downtown. In past years the festival has featured an outdoor juried Fine Art Show, an indoor art exhibit, a student art show, children’s art activities, artist demonstrations, special community art projects, and musical entertainment. The committee is looking forward to new ideas and new faces to help with the 2013 festival. If you are interested in joining the Art in Your Eye team, but can’t make this meeting, please send an email to info@artinyoureye.com. For more information about the festival, see www.artinyoureye.com.
